TOFTI!

Getting the games ready…

Snake

Snake starts with a small bite and becomes a challenge in planning space. This TOFTI edition uses an 18 × 18 board. Each orange food item adds one body segment and 10 points. A collision with a wall or your own body ends the round. The aim is not just to move quickly: you need to leave an open route for an increasingly long tail.

Choose from three speeds before starting. Relaxed gives you more time to learn when turns happen. Normal offers a steady rhythm, while Fast asks you to plan earlier. The selected speed stays constant throughout a round. Eating food does not trigger an unexpected acceleration, so you can compare attempts at the same pace.

Use broad turns before trying tight zigzags. If food appears near your tail, check how you will leave that area before moving straight toward it. An opposite-direction command is ignored, and only one turn is queued for the next movement step. Rapid key presses therefore cannot accidentally reverse the snake into itself. The orange marker always appears on an empty square.

The code and geometric artwork in this edition were created for TOFTI. It does not load an outside game portal, an advertising SDK or a download screen. Your best score stays on this device when browser storage is available; refreshing the page resets the active round. Switching away from the tab pauses play, and you can resume explicitly when you return.

How to play

Press Start, then use the arrow keys or W, A, S and D on a computer. Space and the Pause button stop movement. Choose Resume inside the board to continue.

On a phone, swipe up, down, left or right across the board. You can also use the four direction buttons. A turn takes effect on the next movement step. Commands that would immediately reverse into the snake's body are ignored.

New game leaves the current round and returns to the start screen. Each food item is worth 10 points. First practise turning before a wall; then look for at least one safe exit before collecting the next bite.
