TOFTI Crystal Quest

TOFTI Crystal Quest turns the broad idea of a swinging catcher into an original maths adventure for players of all ages. Solve the expression at the top, aim at the crystal carrying the right result and send TOFTI at the perfect moment. TOFTI carries correct crystals home quickly. Wrong crystals become heavy, strain the rope and prompt TOFTI to encourage another attempt.

Across thirty levels, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and mixed expressions become progressively more challenging. Large crystals stay still in the opening levels. From level six they begin to drift gently; later levels add more choices and movement. Relaxed, Classic and Expert modes adjust time, motion and score multipliers for different ages and experience levels.

Play with a mouse, touchscreen or the Space key. TOFTI's original synthesized audio is layered with launch, rope and outcome effects used under the ZapSplat Standard License. A short TOFTI opening animation speaks the Play, Learn, Smile slogan. Progress, unlocked levels, personal bests and sound preference remain only on the player’s device. There are no in-game ads, paid lives or required accounts. The code, physics, interface, visual assets and game system were created from scratch for TOFTI. Sound effects: ZapSplat.

How to play

Solve the expression while TOFTI swings from side to side. When TOFTI points at the crystal carrying the correct number, tap the playfield, click or press Space. TOFTI carries a correct crystal home quickly and awards points. A wrong crystal retracts heavily, costs time and resets the streak.

Complete the required number of correct answers before time runs out. After two wrong attempts, the correct crystal begins to glow as a gentle hint. Relaxed mode gives extra time and slower motion. Classic offers a balanced challenge. Expert speeds up the crystals and increases the score multiplier.

The note button toggles music, effects and TOFTI speech. Pause with the pause button or Escape. The game pauses automatically when the tab moves into the background. A short TOFTI slogan animation plays on the first start and can be skipped.
